The Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture is seeking  experienced Dogman/Slinger/Riggers to join the team on the Central Interceptor Project. Reporting to the Supervisor you will assist with the safe loading and unloading of loads and providing direction for the plant movement on site for the Central Interceptor Project. What you will be doing: • Working with crawler cranes, rough terrain and other plant equipment • Provide guidance for the plant movement on site • Identify loads that are safe, taking appropriate actions for unsafe loads • Apply suitable slinging techniques • Assist with the checking of equipment to ensure they are safe for use • Ensure a healthy and safe environment for operators on site, minimising and reporting any unsafe activities • Understand and generate lift plans The successful candidate will have: • Completion of Unit Standards 3789 (regular loads) and 3801 (complex loads) is essential • 2-4 years Dogging experience • Experience working on civil infrastructure projects • Positive and pro-active approach toward teamwork • Good communication skills • Safety aware • Ability to work under pressure, determine priorities and follow instructions • Construct Safe ideal but not essential – we will provide this training The Central Interceptor is New Zealand’s largest ever Wastewater Project consisting of close to 20km of tunnels, more than 17 shafts, a major pump station and substantial wastewater management and network infrastructure works.
