The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7 kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.

We are offering a full time, fixed term role (one year) for a Tender Specialist to join our team.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will use your experience of following good practice tender evaluation models to assist in the timely supply of materials and services, providing support with trade packages and subcontract requirements, and to oversee the pricing, evaluation, tendering and award process for the project.

What you will be doing:

This role will give you the opportunity to work with international specialists and use your ability to deal with complex financial and economic data. You will have experience in tender and procurement management and be able to develop procurement documentation such as procurement plans, evaluation plans, statements of requirement, procurement reports and tender management plans.

The successful candidate will have:

• Proficient in MS Office suite
• Minimum 5 years previous experience in similar role
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Have strong numeric, analytical and statistical skills
  
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
• Able to determine priorities, meet deadlines and balance competing demands
