The Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture is seeking an experienced B Grade Tunnel Manager to join the team on the Central Interceptor Project. 

The Central Interceptor is a 14.7 kilometer wastewater tunnel that will run between the Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn, crossing under the Manukau Harbour.  

A little bit about what you will do in this role:

• Manage the different packages of construction works operations daily
• Supervise and monitor health and safety aspects of designated packages of construction works
• Ensure all Principal Control Plans (PCPs) and Principal Hazard Management Plans (PHMPs) are implemented on site
• Complete Daily shift reports and supervisor reports
• Complete Electrical, Mechanical and Ventilation Monthly reports
• Ensure all relevant permits are current and that works do not proceed without these in place
• Ensure that safe operating procedures have been read and signed off by all workers that are required to use them
• Ensure that all Trigger Action Response Plans (TARPs) are reviewed as required, understood, and displayed on site
• Review and provide input into any Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
• Ensure all works have suitable SWMS’ in place for the works and that worker input is provided – these should be reviewed weekly and signed
• Ensure all Lift Plans are complete before any lifting takes place. 

What the successful candidate will have?

• Current CoC as a B Grade Tunnel Manager is essential
• 5 years+ leadership experience in a similar role
• Experience working on civil infrastructure projects - essential 
• Excellent time management and organisational skills 
• Communication that is clear, concise and easily understood both in written and verbal form
• Current Class 1 drivers licence
• Be safety focused
